Another long silence followed her words. “You react as all the others do. Amusing. Even I sometimes wish for change…” Dominion caught himself drifting off of the subject.
“My destruction, is simply not possible. At least not by your conventional means.”
“You and your kind have wiped out my family and my home. You’ve destroyed entire planets for no other reason than the fact that it entertains you. How the hell else am I supposed to act?” If it had wanted her dead, it would have killed her already, she thought. She holstered her pistol, hoping that she wasn’t making a bad decision.
“What do you want from me?”
“You believe yourself to be special. Because you have suffered loss. I have effortlessly destroyed entire galaxies in a single moment. You have not witnessed what I can do. Only what my little constructs are capable of.
We cannot be stopped, because in this very moment, a thousand other galaxies fall to my power.
The little echoes all sound the same. They either beg to be spared, or vow to destroy me.” Another image flashed through her mind, of precisely what he spoke of. Races she’d never seen, all falling to the same fate.
“You wish to know the reason for this? It is far beyond your proper ability to comprehend it.”
“I, on the other hand, have an eternity.” There was a long pause, and an image flashed before the Commander’s eyes of a single, absolutely enormous Reaper’s leg, blackening out an entire planet’s sky.
“I am Dominion. I am all that surrounds you. I hear all that happens, and will happen. And the Cycle does not focus on solely your Galaxy.”
She jumped, surprised by the image. Trying to comm someone else from her team, she cussed quietly when she couldn’t get through. She should have followed her crew’s advice and grabbed someone.
“Good for fucking you. Want a bloody medal? Goddammit what do you want from me?” She yelled out to him, angrily. “Why the hell shouldn’t I just try to destroy you already?”
Another long silence followed her words. “You react as all the others do. Amusing. Even I sometimes wish for change…” Dominion caught himself drifting off of the subject.

“Fuck no.”
The pressure in the air itself seemed to grow heavy around the Commander, every little particle beginning to buzz. There was nothing abnormal around her, however. But she would have recognized the feeling from her time around other Reapers.
This heaviness was…far worse, however.
A deep, synthetic growl appeared to emit from all around her.“Another of the numerous who will soon fail in their fight…”
She kept the gun up, her heart pounding in her ears. Of course the one time she asked to be alone would be the one time something would happen. “Like hell. If I go down, I’m bringing your asses with me. You won’t destroy any more lives.”
“An amusing notion. But you, little echo among trillions and trillions of others, are unaware of what goes on beyond your own universe.” The reply came simply enough, the bass of the mighty Reaper’s voice making the floor tremble beneath her feet.
“You will join all the rest, soon enough.”“What rest? Planning something I should know about? Spit it out. I don’t have all day.” Her hands were shaky, worried about her odds. She’d taken a Reaper down before, but she also had a team with her and she was in full armour, not civvies with a pistol.
